Aldo Leopold wasn't your typical leader. He didn't stand up in front of big crowds and inspire them to take action. He wasn't a politician or the founder of a large organization. Leopold was a leader for what he did rather than what he said. He, through his writing and teaching, inspired a seed of environmental consciousness to be planted in people's minds. That seed grew into a tree which became the modern environmental movement. Aldo Leopold was the leader of the environmental movement.
